The Pedagogic and Resource Center
The Pedagogic and Resource Center of Yad Vashem is an information repository for teaching and commemorating the Holocaust. We are open to the public Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

or E-mail).
The Center was founded in order to serve teachers, educators, group leaders, and students of all ages from both Israel and abroad. The Center's staff gather and process material and teaching aids suitable for various educational frameworks, such as schools, youth movements, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), community centers, and so on. The Center's main activities include:
- Collecting and supplying didactic, educational and reference material concerning the Holocaust and its-contemporary implications. The center is kept up to date through communication with many institutions world wide;
- Advising and directing teachers;
- Aiding students in assignments and dissertations. Also available is material for Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies and preparing for journeys of youth trips to Poland, and other European countries;
- Hosting workshops and seminars.
Materials Available in the Center
- Subject Files
The files, in Hebrew, English, German, Russian, and French are designed for both teachers and students. They are a compiler of articles and excerpts from books and journals on historical events (e.g., Righteous among Nations, Nazi Ideology, Ghettoization, etc.) as well as contemporary issues (e.g., neo-Nazism, Holocaust denial etc.).
- Books
The Center retains a library of selected reference books in Hebrew and other languages such as English, German, Polish, Russian and Spanish to complement its subject files.
- Video and Audio Cassettes
The Center offers over 900 video tapes and audio cassettes. The video collection includes documentaries, testimonies, and dramas, which can be viewed at the Center or borrowed for a short period of time inside Israel. The audio cassettes are comprised of lectures, testimonies, and music.
- Curricula
Teachers are welcome to utilize the curricula that has been collected in the Center - including teachers' guides, teaching aids (posters, slides, etc.) and study units. The curricula are targeted both for schools in Israel and abroad, whether Jewish or non-Jewish.
- Student Term Papers
Every year the Center receives high-school students' essays, which have been written as matriculation projects. These are made available as reference material.
- Newspaper Clippings
The staff compiles newspaper clippings into subject folders from local and international newspapers.
